Terry Hanson

PGA Certified Pro-Golfer & Instructor Since 1978

Terry is originally from Wales in the United Kingdom and has been playing golf since he was 12 years old. He became certified by the PGA and became a pro-golfer in 1978 and he has been teaching professional and amateur golfers since then. Early in his career he was mentored by John Jacobs and between 1978 and 1985 Terry played in the European Tour. From 1990 to 2010 he was coaching on the European Tour. Two of the players he taught won on the European Tour three times.

He has been featured in Golf Monthly and he was the Lead Instructor in the Ryder Cup when it was held in Wales in 2010. The teaching center was created to promote golf and as part of that he gave the Prince of Wales a golf lesson at the Ryder Cup.

Terry credentials are impressive! He has been a certified club fitter for Taylor Made for 25 years and has been an ambassador for them for the last 30 years. He is one of 50 professional members of the National Fitters Council for Taylor Made. Terry has also been certified on the Trackman launch monitor for 15 years. He specializes in Driver, Irons and Wedge fitting and gapping, and teaches all categories.

Terry came to Sarasota in 2013 and set up Florida Performance Golf Center to coach players of all levels and skill sets.
